OSA ONLINE AUCTION – DECember 2021

OSA Online Auction December 2021 raised £6,000 for Dame Alice Owen’s School

With limited opportunity for holding live fundraising events in 2020 because of Covid-19 restrictions, the OSA held its first ever online Auction. It was a great success and raised significant funds for Dame Alice Owen’s School. We repeated the Auction in December 2021 and timed it accordingly to allow for some Christmas gift shopping.

Once again we relied on the generosity of parents and friends to donate enough prizes of enough value to make it fun, to engage with as many parents and friends as possible and to raise a good amount of money for the School. In total we had 125 LOTS that included some incredible experiences, such as an exclusive tour of Alpine F1 Team factory in Enstone, Oxfordshire. Much gratitude also to the parents that kindly donated their holiday homes, from Marylebone to Barbados. We also had some of our creative parents contribute by donating limited edition art and books with personal inscriptions for the winners.

The Old Owen's Association (Alumni) also supported and generously donated a 3 night stay at Birch Community.

A special mention to those local independent businesses in Potters Bar that sponsored and donated vouchers; Bhan Thai, The Algarve, Furzefield Leisure Centre, The Royal Thai Spa, Smarty’s Uniform, Top Hat Stage School and Beautylicious. All of which were very popular.

We would like to extend our huge thanks to everyone who donated items - we just couldn’t have run the Auction without your generosity. Enormous thanks also to those of you who bid and/or made a cash donation (on which we are able to claim Gift Aid).

Together with the help of our incredibly important Match Funders, the Auction raised in excess of £6,000.

Thank you, as ever, for your continued support.
